Prices
Prices are quoted in UK pounds and exclude VAT. Prices unless stated otherwise include our premier delivery package (you can save £40 for opting for our standard delivery service). The purchaser must complete the online VAT exemption form to obtain the goods free of Value Added Tax, confirming that they qualify for exemption. Prices quoted are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse any order. The submission of an order by telephone, email or any other means does not constitute acceptance of the order. Goods are supplied only for private use.
VAT
Individuals purchasing products for their own use due to a disability are usually exempt from the payment of Value Added Tax. To claim exemption from VAT the purchaser must complete the exemption form. Where the buyer does not, or cannot complete this form VAT must be added to the purchase price.
Suitability of Goods
The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the goods chosen are suitable for the purpose intended. No responsibility will be taken by Locost Mobility for goods purchased which are not found to be suitable for the needs of the purchaser.
Cancellation
Customers have a cancellation right of 7 working days from the date of order. A full refund, less delivery charge will be made for goods delivered if returned in original packaging and unused. There may also be a deduction for non-recoverable processing charges in some circumstances. Exchange for alternative products may be possible but only at the discretion of Locost Mobility and subject to conditions.
Standard Delivery
If you choose standard delivery the product will be delivered to you by a courier service. You will need to unbox the product and assemble it yourself. Assembly normally only involves a few main parts and is quite easy. Should you experience any problems we are available to talk you through assembly and give advice.
Standard delivery will save you £40 but you should only choose this option if you are certain about your choice of product and confident that you require no advice as to its use.
Premier Delivery
Choosing this option means that your choice of product is delivered fully assembled for use or assembled at your home. Our trained delivery driver will make adjustments and show you how to operate the controls. Where necessary they will give you advice on battery charging and other matters. The driver will remove all packaging.
Where payment is by credit card goods will only be delivered to the registered address of the credit card holder, or on documentary proof of residency at another address. Once received and signed for the purchaser becomes responsible for the goods. Goods should be carefully inspected and any discrepancy or problem notified to Locost Mobility immediately. Delivery on most products, if in stock, will be within 3 working days of date of order. Where products are temporarily out of stock or goods are ordered to a special requirement delivery will be advised.
Warranty Cover
All products come with a 12 month guarantee against faulty materials or manufacture. Repairs under warranty may be carried out in the home or collected fir return and repair to one of our service depots, at the discretion of the company. Under certain circumstances you may be required to return the goods to one of our depots.
The warranty does not cover certain items including: the repair of punctures, faulty batteries due to incorrect charging, worn out consumable items or the results of fair wear and tear. In these instances call out and other charges may apply.
We operate throughout the United Kingdom with our own team of fully trained service technicians and delivery engineers.
Insurance
MBL Insurance offer a range of Insurance cover to owners of Mobility Vehicles and other products, designed for the disabled user. There is no legal requirement for Insurance cover on Mobility Scooters or Powered Wheelchairs but it is, in our opinion, advisable to have at lease a minimum level of cover.
FSA control of the insurance industry means that Locost Mobility is not permitted to sell you insurance directly or advise you of a suitable policy.
